Monsha’at Organised the Franchise Tour in Al Ahsa to Support the Expansion of Saudi Local Brands

The Small and Medium Enterprises General Authority (Monsha’at) of Saudi Arabia organised the Franchise Tour in Al Ahsa Governorate from 29 to 30 December 2025, in collaboration with a range of government and regulatory entities within the Kingdom’s business ecosystem.

The initiative formed part of Monsha’at’s ongoing efforts to promote franchising as a structured and scalable expansion model, while supporting enterprises seeking to adopt or refine this approach. The tour focused on increasing awareness of the legal, operational, and commercial dimensions of franchising, in alignment with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.

A Platform for Awareness and Entrepreneur Enablement

The tour brought together 21 participating brands, alongside several enabling and support entities, providing entrepreneurs with direct exposure to the franchising model and helping them evaluate entry opportunities with greater clarity and structure. The program contributed to strengthening the local business environment in Al Ahsa and enhancing market readiness for scalable growth models.

Expert Dialogue and Practical Workshops

The agenda included a panel discussion titled “Economic Activity and the Future of Franchising in Al Ahsa Governorate”, featuring sector specialists and entrepreneurs. This was complemented by 10 specialised workshops addressing the practical aspects of franchise management, franchisor–franchisee relationships, and operational challenges associated with expansion.

Participants also benefited from advisory and guidance sessions, as well as presentations highlighting successful franchising experiences within the Saudi market.

Scalable Expansion Opportunities

The tour hosted a selection of franchising brands offering expansion opportunities across multiple regions of the Kingdom. This enabled attendees to explore realistic growth pathways and gain applied insight into franchising requirements from an operational and strategic perspective.

What This Means for the Business Environment

Monsha’at’s Franchise Tour in Al Ahsa reflects a clear commitment to strengthening local economic development and enabling entrepreneurs beyond major urban centres to access structured growth models. It also reinforces franchising as a practical mechanism for scaling Saudi brands and supporting sustainable enterprise growth.

Within this landscape, Absher Business closely follows SME enablement initiatives across Saudi Arabia and supports entrepreneurs in evaluating expansion strategies, structuring legal and operational frameworks, and aligning growth plans with opportunities emerging across the Kingdom’s franchising sector.
